Hammer turns back on Inter Milan

|

Hammer Joao Mario has declared he won’t return to Inter Milan and says return to the Premier League and West Ham would be ideal.

Technically Mario is contracted on loan as a Hammer until June 30th.

“I will not go back” to Inter, the truth is that I don’t like Serie A. I don’t want to try again,” Joao Mario revealed, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport. I don’t have the necessary motivation, it’s an experience that’s over, no doubt. I’m not angry, I’m taking stock of the year and a half I spent in Milan. The idea is clear: I will not go back.

“I’m just honest, there’s no fire inside me to rekindle with the Nerazzurri. When I arrived I was fired-up for a project which seemed to be taking off, too bad it didn’t go that way.

“Who is to blame? Everyone and no-one. Inter and the environment there, probably all of Italian football, is not for me.

“It would be pointless to go back to Appiano Gentile [after the World Cup], even if I have a contract until 2021.

“I hope we can find a solution as soon as possible, maybe even before the end of the World Cup.

“In football, as in life, one must be honest in understanding when things end. And with Inter it’s over.”

“I’m evaluating things and the Premier League would be ideal, it’s a spectacular environment; a physical and technical competition at the same time. That’s the first idea, then La Liga. West Ham could be an idea, but now it’s too early to make a judgement.”

I hope we do sign him, he was starting to find his feet more and more with every game, refreshingly honest interview.

Mario,I’m sure West Ham would buy you back at the right price-about £20m-but the figures that are banded about, like £30m,£45m are not realistic. If Inter have to take a hit on you then so be it,but there is no point in putting silly figures on you otherwise you will end up staying at Inter.

I hope we can secure another season loan deal. I think it would be good for him and us.

I wasn’t sure of him at first, but towards the end of the season he showed what he could do.

Mario would be a good signing because he will get better the more he plays in the prem and he wants to come ..so what’s the problem …oh yeah Sullivan wAnts him on the cheap or another bloody loan wich is stupid ..you can’t build a team with loans as you don’t know how long you will have them….just pay the money and move on .

We could probably get him for £20m at the end of the window, they have already denied him a squad number for next season so the manager knows he is off, a loan to buy would be good if Pellegrini is keen on him, I can’t see Pastore or this Felipe Anderson coming or Marco Veratti either… they are typical Sullivan although £38m for Felipe Anderson if true is a huge bid for someone that isn’t even a full international, there are players in the PL that can do a job like Pascal Gross at Brighton if you want end product, Shelvey, Wilshere, Lallana probably or Ward Prowse, Redmond, all seems to have gone quiet on the defender front also after being linked with Merlon Santos and that Italian dude at this rate it will be another window where a few panic buys come in late in the window and we probably lose one or more of our better players, followed by the line having Robert Snodgrass back is like a new signing or something similar 😉

Mario is more suited to a Pellegrini team than the one set up by Moyes
