Hammers beaten in Hong Kong

|

West Ham United’s Hong Kong ‘sevens’ team were knocked out of the HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens at the semi finals stage by Rangers.

A young Hammers squad had knocked out Brighton in the qualifying stages but were beaten by the Scottish lads via a 14the minute golden goal following a goal-less normal time.

The Scottish club would go on to lose 4-3 to Newcastle United, who were crowned overall champions of the popular 16-team tournament in Happy Valley.
