Hammer’s big push for promotion

Conor Coventry has his mind on nothing other than seeing his second loan club of the winter – MK Dons promoted from from league One this season.

The Hammers midfielder is playing a massive part in the club’s bid to make it into the Championship after a terrific spell at the club.

The Dons are currently in third place behind Rotherham and Wigan having played a couple of more games than the second placed club but being only a point behind them.

It remains to be seen whether David Moyes decides to make him part of nex season’s Hammers first team squad but the British players at the club who know him and his game well like him enorously.

With his disappointing spell at Peterborough United behind him he has played 14 games for the Dond, losing only one – his first at Doncaster Rovers.

He has been speaking for the first time wince joining the club on loan and told Coventry has said, as per their official club website:

“I’m massively enjoying it. There’s a real feel good factor around the place. Everyone knows how well we’re doing, we’re not getting carried away.”

He added: “The two halves of my season are very contrasting. Things happen in football and in life. I think I’m a much stronger person more than anything now after being at a place where my opportunities were limited and it makes me really grateful for every opportunity I get.”
