Moyes to make huge late Lyon call

|

David Moyes is set to make a late call over whether or not Ben Johnson will be involved against Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Hammers will be in action against the French club on Thursday in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.

Johnson missed the clash with Everton at the weekend due to a hamstring injury sustained on international duty with England’s U21s.

The London Evening Standard now reports that the Hammers boss will decide late on whether or not Johnson is fit enough to play against the Ligue 1 side.

There are other options, as Ryan Fredericks deputised for Johnson at the weekend and played well as the Hammers beat the Toffees 2-1.

Vlad Coufal was on the bench against Everton and it remains to be seen if he is fit enough to play.

As a result, if Johnson is not deemed fit, it is likely that it will be Fredericks who replaces him.
