Hammers could get big allocation for Spurs

|

West Ham should get an allocation of over 6,000 tickets for the Carabao Cup quarter final against Spurs.

Carabao Cup rules state that clubs must offer at least 10% of the capacity to the away club, whilst the FA Cup ruling stands at 15%.

The new Tottenham Hotspur stadium  has a capacity  of 62,850 meaning in theory that the Hammers could be offered up to 6,285 tickets for the December clash.

Spurs’ first two league Cup games were played away from home as they narrowly beat Wolves then Burnley.

Ultimately the Met police, Haringey Council and the local stadium safety advisory group will decide on the away allocation as crowd safety is factored in.

The ability to segregate fans in the Spurs stadium will also be a factor as this will be a category A risk game.

Away fans are housed in the lower tier of the North East corner of the stadium, where up to 3,000 fans can be accommodated for Premier League matches.

A much larger visiting allocation of up to 9,000 can be made available for domestic cup ties. For these matches visiting fans will be housed in the same area of the stadium but over the three tiers.
