Hammers could hit London Stadium quota

|

West Ham now pays £3m per year to play up to 25 competitive games per year at the London Stadium under their 2103 concessionaire agreement.

They could pass that this season for the first time since 2016 as they remain in four competitions of the Premier League, Europa League, Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

The Hammers are guaranteed to consume 19 games in the top flight league, three in the Europa League group stages and at least one in the league cup taking the total to 21 already. Progression in the Europa League and/or Caabao could add to that further.

The FA Cup third round proper starts in January next year with a 50/50 chance of a home draw.

Should the Hammers pass the 25 competitive game quota they will need to pay stadium owners £300,000 per match additional in costs.

The rental is index-linked so increases each year plus West Ham have taken some extra advertising space to increase the rent from £2.5m to £3m,
