Hammers could miss out on Eberechi Eze

|

Crystal Palace are reported to have a head start on West Ham transfer target Eberechi Eze

QPR are holding out for as much as £20m for their young player and a bidding war could begin between Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, West Bromwich Albion and West Ham.

Palace is hoping to get the transferred business for Eze done early and that could go against West Ham who need to sell to buy.

A Hammers bid for Eze could rely on an early sale of Manuel Lanzini and/or Felipe Anderson but that is easier said than done.

West Ham are said to be hoping to use Jordan Hugill who scored 15 goals for Rangers as part payment but the valuation of the striker is likely to differ between the two clubs with the Hammers unlikley to recoup the £9m they paid for him.

22-year-old Eze scored 13 goals and has a further eight assists in the Championship this season as he’s proven to be one of the bright sparks in what has, on the whole, been a rather disappointing QPR side who missed out on a playoff place.

Here we go, will end up missing out on players wanted by the manager because of this zero transfer budget rubbish

Penny wise pound foolish as usual

I have said this for some time……… but as far as I am concerned, Eze is Absolutely Crucial to West Ham going forward and we must get him…..it’s that simple.
There are BIG players on the way out and if we can’t raise those funds…. then we might as well give up now!

Why are we skint yet palace can still bid for the player ? we was told the move to the soulless bowl was to compete with the top six you couldn’t make up it.up what a shambles

Palace will have big money coming in for Zaha. We’ll be lucky to get £20m for the rubbish that’s need clearing out at our place.

Agree that Eze looks like a great target for us, if not him then it must be Ollie Watkins both of which have that quality and attitude we are looking for. £20m is not much for that type of player with that level of consistency both of whom could be worth a fortune in 1 or 2 seasons like Rice. If we could afford it would go for Eze, Benrahma, Watkins, Longstaff, Fraser, Montiel and Robinson maybe Cidre and lose Lanzini, Wilshere, Fredericks, Cresswell, Snodgrass, Huggill, Diangana, Ajeti, Haller, Cullen and Holland.

In other words let’s have fewer, but better quality players, when half of them usually go out on loan anyway in this strangely run club. We’re going to miss out on Eze because we have to sell first?? That’s ridiculous when interest rates are at an all-time historic low. They’re like kids who splash out vast amounts when they have it but lack any sense of prudent forward planning.
