Hammers drop to sixth

|

Manchester United were unable to help West Ham cause tonight by managing to lose to Liverpool giving their greedy six rivals three critical points.

Before the game at Old Trafford Liverpool’s team bus was blocked with tyres punctured.

Although security and police presence has been ramped up, pictures have emerged showing cars blocking the Liverpool coach on a side street near the hotel at which the squad was based.

Manchester United fans protesting against their owners were blamed for the latest disruption,

Manchester United went ahead after ten minutes but by half time Liverpool led 2-1, the Reds increased that lead in the second half to four with the Red devils making it two.

And that may well be enough to ensure that the Irons will have to settle for the Europa League at best as far as  Champions League qualification is concerned.

There could well yet be twists and turns but the Hammers are now left in a tough place as they look for a place at the game’s top table next season.

    Have you time travelled?

The games still going on it’s 2-4 in Liverpools favour!

My ambition for the club at the start of the season was to finish 6-8 with a positive goal difference and ahead of Everton. That’s still achievable and even ahead of Spurs and Arsenal – so 6th would be amazing and enable us to consolidate and buy in new talent. I think Europa league would badly affect our Prem chances next season – remember Wigan?

In order to catch Chelsea they’d have to lose both their remaining fixtures while we win our three (can’t see it). Liverpool have three bottom table teams to go.

I mean i wouldn’t say settle for top 6. We still need to earn it yet! Its in our hands but we have to win all 3 games or we wont.
