Hammers face lengthy FA Youth Cup wait

|

By Hughie Southon

West Ham’s under 18s will have to wait until March to discover who they will be meeting in the semi final of the FA Youth Cup following their win in the quarter final clash at Ipswich last night.

Having on the game in extra time by four goals to two they will have to sit things out until beyond March 7 when the last of the three remaining games is played.

Arsenal’s under 18s go into action at home tonight against Cambridge United with the game carrying a 7pm kick off time.

Then on March 2 the second of the games is played when Preston North End face Southampton with Manchester City at home to Oxford United on March 7.

The unlucky Irons lads have been drawn away in every game so far just like the first team in the senio FA Cup competition so it really is a case of fingers crossed all round.

The Hammers have confirmed to CandH the game will be a one off rather than being played over two legs.
