Hammers fan’s animal protection ‘just giving’ launch

|

Kurt Zouma’s appalling behaviour towards a pet cat ensured that he let the players, manager, board, supporters, club itself but chiefly himself  in horrendous terms.

And Claretandhugh Facebook follower Dan Hunter responded immediately by launching a just giving appeal under the title West Ham Fans against Animal Cruelty.

It is to be hoped that Zouma is fined two weeks wages and that whatever incredible sum that is will be donated to the animal protection charities.

In the meantime Hammers fans can do their bit should they feel they want to by donating to the just giving page set up by Dan at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hammersagainstanimalcruelty?experiments=donate_now_track_click&fbclid=IwAR0b2eTVdBMtrX_kcaFwjXQKhhE983poQ2dhBfwRQgd7koPJjJaEqWXHkF8

In his appeal Dan says: “Kurt Zouma’s actions are appalling, and as fans we can make a difference by supporting the work done by animal charities throughout the UK. I have chosen Cats protection but you can make a donation to any local/alternative animal charity.

Any donation helps – I’ll keep this page open for a couple of weeks.”

Should you wish to donate this your opportunity!

Tough one this, everyone is leading with their morals. By rights that means he should have no place at WHUFC. I have a funny feeling everyone’s morals will soon change when we desperately need him in defence.

For the record, great defender, terrible human being, no place at this family club.

Wouldn’t bother me in the slightest if Karren Brady took him to one side this afternoon, and let him go. The reality is that there is no scenario where we so desperately need him in defence. What’s much more likely is that the Club’s hierarchy will want him to continue to play to protect its investment. I will understand that, but don’t agree with it.

Thanks for sharing this donation site, Hugh.

Zouma is notorious for doing crazy things, but he went way over the line this time. What he did was horrible and totally unacceptable. He needs to be seriously punished, but I think cutting him loose is going too far in the other direction. People make mistakes, and hopefully he can learn from this to be a better and more compassionate person toward all creatures.

Yes, I think actually getting rid of hin for this would be going too far. I would like to have some idea WHY he did it. Cats can do naughty things but you have to accept it and try to avoid. It can’t have done anything he can’t easily afford to replace, and his maid can clear up the mess. (I’d have a cleaner for sure on a fraction of his money.)
Was he on something? And is that something perhaps a serious matter in itself?
Let’s do without hin tonight, give him a bid fine, and make hin eat cats**t.
