Hammers have an FA Cup home draw

Well, well, well, wonders will never cease with the Hammers have an FA Cup home draw.

It really hasn’t been the best area for the Hammers over recent years but to be drawn against a team to whom we haven’t lost in eleven meetings over 45 years may be something of a result.

The Hammers are lined up to play Bristol City in the third round having been paired with the west country outfit on Sunday afternoon.

David Moyes‘ men will host the Championship side on the weekend of 6 January.

Bristol City, managed by one time Hammers U21s lead coach Liam Manning, are currently 13th in the Championship table heading into their meeting with Norwich City on Sunday.

The Irons last faced City back in the  2013/14 campaign, when Diafra Sahko’s header earned us a 1-0 FA Cup fourth round victory  .

West Ham are undefeated in their last eleven meetings with the Robins, dating back to 1978.

Full fixture details and ticket information will be announced on whufc.com in due course.
