Hammers have much in their favour at Spurs

|
Let’s be honest…there’s far more pressure on Spurs than the Hammers when the two teams clash at the new White Hart Lane on Saturday and that’s why I see the Irons coming away with a win or draw. I know my predictions can often be the kiss of death if you’re planning to bet on the next match but there’s no reason for us to go over there in fear and trembling.

And with nothing much left in our season but pride, pressure and no fear of relegation or anything like it we should play with the sort of freedom we showed in the second half against Chelsea, the 90 minutes at Old Trafford and the first 45 against Leicester City.

Ok Spurs are on a decent run but have much on their plates and minds with a Champions League semi final game in front of them next week.

That will surely give the Irons a better than usual chance as Pochetinno rings the changes in his team with the Hammers coming close to having a near full strength squad, which you should bear in mind when you compare the bookmakers odds for the match.

Former Spurs midfielder and Sky pundit Jamie Redknapp said on Sky: “I’ve said it before the West Ham game is such an important one. Because it’s a derby game, I’ve played in it, and it means so much to the Spurs fans.

“But West Ham have come to Spurs, to White Hart Lane and to Wembley, and had good results previously so it won’t be an easy one. And the Spurs players subconsciously will have their mind on the Champions League so that’s important for them.”
West Ham travel to Spurs boosted by the return of Jack Wilshere, Javier Hernandez and Carlos Sanchez.”
