Hammers hit by new expense

|

floodlightsWest Ham have been hit by a £1 million plus upgrade job on the club’s floodlights.

The Premier League has told the club to ensure that the work is done in order to suit TV requirements.

And ClaretandHugh understands the same rule applies to every other club in the top division.

It is believed the Hammers may have argued that they would be leaving the Boleyn in a couple of years time anyway but that made no difference to the situation.

A Hammers source told us: “The work has to be done as it is part of what’s needed for high definition or 3D TV.”
