Hammers hope Austria go easy on Marko

|

West Ham are hoping that Mark Arnautovic will only be played in the Friday night Uefa Nations League Group B3 game against Northern Ireland on Friday evening.

The Hammers striker has travelled for international duty with Austria but as the second game next week Tuesday is a friendly against Denmark they are trusting the No 7 will be rested for that game.

The Hammers have made it clear that he is playing in a certain amount of pain but have no authority over his international situation.

And they may also being relying on Marko’s strong personality in these affairs as he tends to make his own decision on whether he is fit to play in any game.

That has certainly been the case this season as was demonstrated when he was absent from the high profile London Stadium fixture against Chelsea.

Andriy Yarmolenko is also on duty for the Ukraine who have a match against Italy tomorrow evening and a Nations League game against the Czech Republic next Tuesday evening
