POLL RESULT: Should Declan accept the new Irons offer?

|

Declan Rice’s new contract offer has been at the centre of the Hammers headlines for the past 24 hours after ClaretandHugh first broke the news on Sunday.

The brilliant midfielder has now been offered a deal which could earn him £2 million a year if he fulfils the appearance levels expected this season.

In any event his basic wage of £21k a week is worth £1 million a year by itself to the 19 year old.

So given the variety of views on offer from Hammers fans over the situation surrounding the club’s hottest prospect for years we decided to poll ClaretandHugh followers.

We asked if they thought the deal should be accepted or whether he should be handed a £30-£35k a week deal which it is believed his representative’s preferred option or indeed whether the deal was too high.

The result hardly looks in doubt as the number of votes passed 1,000 a few minutes ago – the number required to make it official by Mori.

Currently 691 of those taking part – or 68.48 per cent have said he should accept the offer;

A total of 290 votes (28.74pc) said he should get a bigger basic wage and

2.78 pc (28) reckon the offer is too high.
