Hammers hope for deal within 10 days

|

Reece-OxfordWest Ham are hopeful that Reece Oxford will finaly put pen to paper on a new deal over the next week to ten days.

The young Hammer had been believed to have already agreed the five year offer but a club source told ClaretandHugh late last night that they are still awaiting his signature.

Discussion have been going on for months but the club are now close to agreeing a deal before the youngster’s 18th birthday on the 16th of next month.

And although there has been much speculation about the two Manchester clubs and Arsenal being interested we have been told that there have been no inquiries at this stage.

Now the odds appear to be that the player will put pen to paper before the end of November and finally put an end to the saga.

ClaretandHugh was told: “It’s a very important contract for Reece and the club and it’s understandable this has taken so much time.

“We believe we are now close to a deal and hope he will commit to five years within the next week or ten days.”
