Hammers issue a big welcome back

|

West Ham have issued a big welcome back to the fans who were fortunate enough to get tickets for tomorrow afternoon’s game.

They may well be stating the obvious in a website statement but it need stating all the same – in welcoming pack part of the 60,000 heartbeat of this fabulous club.

To say this has been a tough  14 months barely puts things into perspective but at least we can now look ahead with real optimism to returning to the stadium in numbers next season.

This will be the fans first visit  to the stadium for a match since we last faced the Saints here – way back in February 2020, our most recent home fixture in front of a full crowd.

And the club is delighted they will  enjoy a memorable finish to an excellent campaign for the Hammers.

The rest of us will have to settle for TV again but at least we can do so in the near certain knowledge that come August we should all be back in our seats inside the ground.

Awe – you had me here Hugh. Thought this was going to be about Felipe Anderson coming back.
Obviously not. I wish everybody at the game a fantastic time – covid safe – and hope everyone can enjoy the last match of this terrific season.
