Karren Brady has let slip that a film called Iron Men is being made about the Boleyn Ground.
West Ham commissioned Spark Media to make the film in their final season at the Boleyn Ground and eagle eyed supporters would have spotted the film crew on match days in their high visibility vests last season sometimes perched on the roof of the Boleyn.
ClaretandHugh were contacted in April this year to help with locating some old video footage of the Boleyn ground. At the time we were told the project was top secret and that publicity would follow in due course. We understand the film crew has recently been following the archaeological dig for the Boleyn Castle in Green Street and is expected to include the sad footage of the Boleyn ground being knocked down within their documentary film.
But, speaking at the Leaders Sport Business Summit at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, Brady let slip the club are to release a film about the move.‘We are making a film called ‘Iron Men’ she said.‘It is about West Ham supporters and the move from the Boleyn to the Olympic Stadium and what the move means to them.’
We understand the film is likely to have a limited release in local East end cinemas before being made available to Blueray/DVD and online streaming and downloads.
