Hammers likely line-up if Antonio is fit

|

West Ham look set to return to the line-up which beat Chelsea assuming Michail Antonio is fit to start against Arsenal tonight (Mon).

Hopes have been growing that the buccaneering Mikey will be back for the match but no decision will be made until just before kick off.

Should Manuel Pellegrini decide to launch him into action it will almost certainly be at the expense of Sebastien Haller who has been off the pace for the last few games, notably at Wolves.

And there seems little chance that he will decide to satisfy a growing fan chorus to play the pair as a two up front against the out of form Gooners.

The Hammers can jump into 13th  place and 12th should they win by three more goals or more to overtake Arsenal and would certainly need Antonio if they were to achieve that.

Possible line-up: Martin, Fredericks, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice,  Noble, Anderson, Fornals, Snodgrass, Antonio.

Would love to play 4-3-2-1 Christmas tree, or 4-3-3,. With both of these players playing.

I bet Haller would suddenly look a different proposition with players around him.

I understand from a very confidential source that Antonios body will no longer stand up to 90 minutes a game of premier league football, but that if used sparingly he may prolong his career,,,,,watch this space for more info and you will realise this is not fake or false news

Time to go 442 . Let’s get some old fashioned and time honoured play going . Forget the tiki Taki nonsense . Time to take the Bull by the Horns ,,, but I doubt Pelligrini has the Boll*cks
To try it . 4231 with Haller as alone striker has ruined our season . Strange how the fans can see it but the manager can’t . Tonight is a massive test for both team and manager ,,, I think we shall overcome Arsenal if we turn up . But turning up depends a lot on the managers approach and the team getting together .

Well said Kevin.I said weeks ago that Haller got his goals playing in a 2 or even 3 pronged attack at Frankfurt,so what on earth is Pellegrini doing hanging him out to dry alone up top.Like you say he does not seem to have the balls to play 2 up top even at home .Bad performance and defeat tonight and Pelle could be almost gone and we get somebody who realises this.

  • Kevin says:

Should be Pelligrini’s last game in charge if we get Gunned out of the game .
