West Ham may resurrect their interest in Arsenal’s Theo Walcott in the January transfer market.
The 28 year old will be allowed to leave the Emirates if the Gooners receive a suitable offer and was on the list of possible targets back in the summer.
The 28 year old has barely been involved for the club this season and Arsenal boss is Arsene Wenger is reported to have decided that he will be allowed to move on after 10 years at the club.
There are also widespread reports that should the Irons fail in a move for Russian striker Fyodor Smolov, they could look again at the possibility of loan deal involving Liverpool Daniel Sturridge.
However, ClaretandHugh has been told that the Sturridge option is in doubt given the player’s injury record. Having been bitten hard by the Andy Carroll problems since his move from Liverpool such a move looks unlikely unless the Irons could negotiate particularly advantageous terms.
A bit underwhelmed by both of these tbh. I think Walcott’s time has gone & Sturrridge would be fighting with Carroll for the sickbed. To be fair, both would be turning their noses up at coming to us. So we probably will have to take a few massive gambles & hope. That’s why I would rather go for a couple of youngish overseas players. But it does need a bit of proper research when choosing them. Other sides seem to manage this- Richarlison, Doucoure, Femenia, Gross.
We need to reinforce the spine of the team -centre backs centre midfield enforcers and ball winners and a good centre forward? Not tippy tappy wingers ? We have enough of them already surely?????
How are we linked to these two when we don’t fancy sturrige for obvious reasons ?

No Sturrigde & Walcott is ok has pace good w both feet but wanted £30m in summer we got Arnie instead. Walcott to expensive.
We need to look outside PL. Tho one player I would have from Arsenal is Elneny he Leceister had £10m accepted for him but he didn’t want to leave London. Good DM not my top choice but good get on cheap & will be linked w Wilshere again as be playing well can he stay fit?
And if I’m going after someone at Liverpool Grujic CM/DM 21yo physical good passer set to get a loan and Agent wants him to stay in PL.
