West Ham may have been given a timely boost following what have been described as crisis talks between Spurs owner Daniel Levy and manager Maurcio Pochettino.
The Telegraph reports they understand the two men have discussed the manager’s position during the current international break making Saturday’s game at the London Stadium an even more crucial affair.
And the newspaper goes on to declare that with various players away with their countries, messages have been circulating amongst them amid more and more speculation that he will be out of a job very soon.
The Spuds have had a shocking start to their season and haven’t won away in 12 games so the report comes as no surprise and were the Hammers to get a much needed victory it could easily put the skids under the Argentinian.
Ironically of course, Pellegrini is in a weak position himself with many calling for him to be sacked.
And defeat against a Spurs team currently only two places above the Hammers, and just one point better off, would start to pile more and more pressure on the Chilean.
It has all the hallmarks of a real showdown match and it will be fascinating to see how the Hammers respond to a challenge which could see them boosted by the deadly enemy and their manager’s current plight.
“and haven’t won away in 12 games”……….enter stage left West Ham United – the gift that keeps giving – much to the delight of the under pressure Pochettino!
Remind us not to ask you to give the team talk Ajay
And how many times has a team needed a win.or a sktriker not scored for years etc etc.
99% we always oblige .hopefully we don’t roll over and get a much needed win .
Well is got the sack now according to the BBC. Let’s hope it doesn’t give them the usual boost when a manager gets the elbow?
