Hammers on lunchtime revenge mission

|

West Ham will be desperate to avoid a double at the hands of Newcastle this afternoon at St James’ Park.

We all had a bit of a meltdown after the Geordies beat us at the London Stadium in the first game of the season and the boys will be looking for revenge on this north eastern mission..

We were really poor that day but will be doing everything we can to take advantage of a Steve Bruce team which has its shares of injuries.

The Geordies are in deep relegation trouble and these games are never easy and we have those critical injuries of our own with Mikey and Dec out.

There’s also a serious doubt over Arron Cresswell although there are hopes that Angelo Ogbonna will at least make the squad.

Speaking of that first day defeat to reporters manager David Moyes said: “It was probably the one anomaly out of them all really.

“The next game, at Arsenal, we played very well and lost in the last minute, but in nearly all the other games this season we have been really competitive.”
