Hammers refuse to deny Chicharito speculation

|

West Ham were this afternoon refusing to deny that Javier Hernandez could be on his way from the London Stadium this month despite Marko Arnautovic being hotly pursued by the Chinese.

If true it suggests there could be more transfer activity this winter than anyone expected as the Irons look to bring in new strikers of their own.

Football:London reports that it is understood Valencia have agreed terms with Chicharito on a loan deal for the remainder of the season but West Ham has no intention of letting the striker leave temporarily.

A senior source at West Ham refused to deny the suggestion when we contacted him by email today which is usually a very good indication that something is indeed going on

But we were told a week ago that nobody would be allowed out on a loan deal this January which indicates that Football:London’s report is probably substantially on the money.

A decision to let him leave were Arnautovic to be sold would leave the club with just Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez as their strikers and Michail Antonio as an ’emergency’ unless there are new arrivals.

I am not sure what is happening Hernandez is sulking as usual because he doesn’t start every game, Arnie is sulking because he wants a China move, they are both great players but if they are putting themselves before the team we are better to replace them with players that have a better attitude and want to play for the shirt. Xande Silva can replace Hernandez for a while, maybe even Diangana there has to be some top talent out there that we can buy in. Arnie isn’t indispensable and neither is Hernandez, we have played really well without them at times.

At this moment in time we have on the injury list :Balbuena,Yarmalenko,Wilshere,Sanchez and Lanzini.Add to that those that want to go :Arnautovic,Obiang,Hernandez,Ogbonna,Adrian,Perez not wanted anyway..That’s a full team,so how do we replace these players without spending? And don’t forget AC will be imminently re-joining the injured list.

So Buddy, ‘If a player wants to leave there’s not a lot they can do about it’?? Last week you were talking about making Arnautovic play for the U23s.

What I don’t understand is why has he been given permission to speak with Valencia, if a permanent deal isn’t being proposed?
Is it a loan with an obligation to purchase? All seems too cloak and dagger, I hope Husillios knows what he’s doing as our squad is threadbare as is. With disaffected players popping up every other day (Obiang, Hernandez, Arnie), this is going to be an interesting couple of weeks. Unfortunately it may lead to a loss of momentum if all three leave and even more new recruits need intergrating.

Exactly right players take time to settle .we have to get replacement s or it’s just suicide..these players are under contracts and get paid alot of money the club should decide ..what do they say no player is bigger than the club..

This is so like West ham ,best squad for a long time and doing well so the best thing to do is start selling out players ha ha ha not used to things going well so let’s break the squad up ourselves,, my God how stupid are we.. Even if we buy players it will take a while to settle in ..t his squad is just doing that and we decided to start messing with it …it beggars belief

I’m pretty sure it’s not the club’s decision to let these players leave… If the player wants to go, then there’s not a lot they can do about it. We would save Chica’s huge wages (£130k per week?) and get lots of money for Marko. Perez is utter toilet, but he would have to do as a backup, and we’d have to rely on Carroll staying fit and hope Silva takes his chance, with Antonio another option. We have Grady and Snoddy for the right side if we move Antonio inside. It’s not the end of the world, and I’d much rather we brought in players who actually WANT to play for the club. The others can do one.

I believe we should sell Obiang as we have players in the squad who could fill his void. I would only sell Hernandez in the event we keep Arne and we sell him not loan him. Btw I would much prefer to sell both Carroll and Perez. I believe Antonio and Silva are still two solid options in attack but if we do sell both Arne and Hernandez then we probably need two forwards in, possibly one 9 and a player who can play on the right cutting in which would allow Antonio to play in either a 9 or a wide position.

I’m glad Michail Arnautovic is off and not Marko 😉
