Hammers restart Arsenal Rice talks this evening

|

A £100m plus bid from Arsenal for West Ham captain Declan Rice is believed to be imminent.West Ham are hoping to get the Declan Rice deal done with Arsenal by the weekend or early next week.

The Hammers are in discussions with the main American-based Arsenal negotiators again this evening with the States being eight hours behind Greenwich mean time.

David Sullivan will not be coming to an agreement on the third Arsenal offer until the Gooners agree to pay the £105 million they have offered  over a year or 18 months – the only issue holding a deal up at this moment.

Thus far the deal has faltered because they want to pay over four years and Sullivan immediately made it clear he wasn’t having that and it remains the only item on the agenda when the two sides start talking again this evening.

Once an agreement has been found Rice will need to fly back from his holiday to take a medical before the deal is finally rubber-stamped.
