Hammers heading for Germany

The Irons – as revealed on Claret and Hugh a few days ago – will travel to Bundesliga side Bayer 04 Leverkusen for a pre-season match on Saturday 5 August.

The Hammers head to BayArena for a 1.30pm CEST (12.30pm BST) kick-off on the final weekend before the 2023/24 Premier League campaign gets underway.

Leverkusen finished sixth in the Bundesliga last term, as well as reaching the UEFA Europa League semi-finals, and will line-up alongside the Hammers in the Europa League in the upcoming season.

The trip will follow pre-season tests at Boreham Wood on 10 July, games against Perth Glory and Tottenham Hotspur on our tour of Australia on 15 and 18 July respectively, a trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on 22 July and an away game at Stade Rennais on 29 July.

Ticketing details for the game at Bayer Leverkusen will be confirmed and announced in due course.
