Hammers reveal Man City in for Rice

|

City Rice inquiry admitted

West Ham have admitted for the first time that Manchester City have definitely come in for Declan Rice.

However, it seems that the player is looking certain to snub any move to the Etihad in favour of crossing London to Arsenal.

The Irons have given no details of the nature of City’s inquiry for the 24 year old but with Rice seemingly determined on his next destination it means the Hammers will be pushing harder and harder for the £100 million plus they want from the north London club.

Rice makes it clear Arsenal is his choice

And it also demonstrates the goodwill that exists between the Hammers and their star player that we will be ready to honour the gentleman’s agreement struck with him and his father/agent Sean that he will indeed be allowed to move on this summer.

The Hammers will be looking for an up front offer of £100 million  in order to get on with our own window business.

Commenting on the situation to us exclusively, our key source at the club declared: “Manchester City have come in but the player seems determined to go to Arsenal.”

Put the ball in teamrice’s court. If you only want to move to Arsenal, fine but if Arsenal don’t want to pay the asking price then you remain at West Ham.

Getting totally boring, but what really amazes me is that we have not gone out and made a top signing to reset the expectations of the fans, players and reduce all this noise about Rice leaving. Newcaste have gone out and made a huge statement signing. That is sending a serious message. It was very important for us to do the same but unfortunately the club have no real business acumen.. This is the biggest transfer window in the club’s history and we seem to be still targeting the same players we were when Moyes joined. I trust the club realise the importance of signing quality players who will make a difference like Paqueta and Aguerd.

If it is true that Man City are in for Decs and he snubs them for Arse, then it suggests his claim that he is ambitious and wants to win lots of trophies is just bull****! Why cant he be honest and just admit he is an Arse fan……….. very quickly losing my respect for him now!

Going back a tad to when he first refused to sign a new contract with WH the talk was all about him wanting to play in CL not so much about winning things which he has already done this season. Lately it’s been more about winning CL and other medals. At 24 we might expect him to remain wherever he goes as long as he and his growing family are happy and are duly compensated. In the real world of work the employee has equal rights as the employer about who accepts/offers a job. I don’t have a problem with him only wanting Arsenal if they cough up what is required. They may also have to break their wage structure to obtain him. So there could be another Londoner in Manchester as was the fairly well known Mr Beckham.
