Hammers send a very subtle message to Spurs

|

Subtlety comes in many forms and there has been little better than the response posted by the official West Ham United Twitter account following Tottenham’s defeat in Madrid last night.

Okay, it certainly wasn’t the best Champions League Final anyone has seen but although both teams involved do little for Hammers fans terms,Spurs are probably the most disliked.

ClaretandHugh’s Allen Cummings posed the question in a recent blog: ” ho do we most want to lose” and on balance the north London outfit would be the choice (probably).

That  certainly looks to be the case among people at the club who produced a brilliant tweet soon after Liverpool had completed a 2-0 win over Spurs via goals at the beginning and towards the end of the match.

There was no outright joy pointed in the direction of the Spuds defeat but it wasn’t rocket science working out the message behind the tweet..

It read:  “Huge congratulations to LFC on behalf of literally everyone at West Ham United.”

That’s amusing – we get the message!
