Hammers step up summer deals programme

|

DembaWest Ham will spend January lining up targets and attempting to get deals in place for the summer.

Club insiders continue to insist that any dealings in the winter transfer window are highly unlikely as the club enters the second phase of the season.

Instead the manager is looking at scouting reports and has identified the positions and, in some cases players, he wants to try nailing into contracts in the summer.

ClaretandHugh was  told by a high level source: “Our position as far as January is concerned is well known. We have players on the way back now and we have no need to be making serious moves in this winter.

“However, the hard work of attempting to get deals in place for next season is continuing. We’ll  be trying to tie up deals now for the summer and anything is still possible.

“Of all the deals we’ve done in January Demba Ba was the only really good signing. If and when we  get all our players back we do not need anybody until the summer.”

Right Back is so important and a world class one,
Move Moses,Song and Jenkinson on as we don’t need them and that would free up loads of wages,
    Bye bye JOB,Jelavic, possibly Zarate,
With Burke,Poyet and Samulsun ready to return and fill the spaces,
We now just need class players no dead wood,
Gray from Burnley, Wilson from Bournemouth both class acts and British,
But no need to go mad there will be players leaving top English clubs when the management roundabout stops,

Bubs, so agree.. We need a world class RB. I would love to see Bilic give Oxford a run at rb this season. I also think we also need to sign a centre midfield, a right winger and a centre forward. I would let JOB, Jenks, Jelavic, Carroll (I know but just does not do it for me) and Song all leave. I really hope Song proves me wrong. I would personally keep Moses, I think he is class. I feel sorry for Zarate, he has so much about him but he still thinks its all about him – if he could only get this out of his makeup.

Striker is main need and the only truly important one for Jan if they can find one, right back for Summer or Jan if available though so as to give time to bed in.

All I can see at the moment is a chess board .
We have some excellent young ones on the fringe and we have several who must be moved on, the question that keeps popping into my head is when will the young ones be introduced,
If ever ? Is Cullen going to be a first choice ? Oxford at 16 ? And a few others in the dev squad , moses and jenkinson with jelly and zarate IMO will move on , song needs to start performing and obiang who is also young is still adjusting to the prem !
Noble needs to change his boots and get a pair that does not look like cement mixers , he needs to sprint not labor .
There will be changes in the summer but what they are I haven’t a clue , like all of us its personal choice but it means nothing really , Bilic will know what he wants at the year end
He may even know now if you want to read between the lines .
Lets get the season over and let Slav make his choices, and I’m sure we will say wheather we agree or disagree !
I’m just happy we are getting some players back and competing on a level keel .

The biggest anchor at the moment was making Noble captain he is turning into a young Nolegs,he can’t fit into our new system his body and brain don’t react fast enough to cover
    Payet and Lanzini,
Song also does not look like he is going to be at his best,he wants to be the creative midfielder and we need a no nonsense tackler that wins then gives simple balls to the brains and talent, all great teams have one Obiang or Poyet or even Oxfotd could fill that role as a side kick to Kouyate,
Time to give Cullen some playing time he could be the missing link,

Don’t agree bubs! Mark Noble has become a great captain and he is doing the role that Bilic wants him to do, which perhaps took sometime adjusting to, the other night seeing Lanzini and Noble work together was worth the price of the ticket and many around me agreed, Bobby Moore was never fast!

We just don’t seem to want to develop young players, perhaps how important this season is could be part of the problem, it annoyed me how BFS used young players to rest players and then the club just released them, I thought we had some real talent there,

    Wtf !??
Bobby Moore had a brain , could nick the ball off pele ,s foot and could take free kicks ?
He started all of our attacks after winning the ball , and commanded respect from every one in england ,
Add to that fa cup cup winners cup and that little honour of the world cup and the only ever captain of england to achieve that feat !!
You can compare noble to the greatest captain england ever had !!!
You are completely off you’re nut mate !!!
Noble is not in the same league !!!!
Picture this noble facing messi in Europe ? Should I continue !! Lol!!!
