I know it’s a magic thing for the kids that they’ll remember all their lives but, all the faffing about before kick off in the Premier.
Players come out have a bit of a run/kick about, then go back in. Then then they come out with the kids & everyone shakes hands with the kiddies. Then eventually they toss & kick off.
Oh to go back to, both teams run out, have a kick about & get on with it!!

How we arrived at such high prices for these compared to other clubs I’ll never know. It suggests that wasnt researched or taken into consideration at all.

I hope the extra few quid in the coffers was worth all the bad publicity.

  • Legin says:

To be fair our Mascots get a lot more time on the pitch and the surround than most others. After all, as we are constantly told by the various media, the Centre Circle is at least 100 miles from the tunnel and dug out, that makes our mpm (miles per mascot) a lot more value than the others.

  • The Cat says:

I find it hard to believe that ANY fee should be taken for these West Ham kids appearing on matchday with their hero’s.
Not only is it a once in a lifetime experience for the kids, but it is also an opportunity for the club to showcase their commitment to the next generation of supporters.
Surely, with all of the TV money etc, the kids and their proud families shouldn’t be seen as a money making opportunity?

  • Graham Watts says:

The club need to explain properly what’s in the package. Does include for child and guardian match tickets, meals, best seats, goodies.
If child and guardian are already season ticket holders there should only be a minimum charge for th extras offered.

Many other Prem clubs out there with £99 season tickets for kids? And if so how many sold at this price? This should be the real story, not the overpriced mascot packages. Of which there’s no shortage of buyers.
Every kids Season Ticket could be seen as being at least £200 lost revenue, compared with the Adult price. An investment in our future fan base. No mention of this anywhere…
