West Ham has announce that Academy striker Jahmal Hector-Ingram has signed a new three year contract at the club. Initially a scholarship, the England youth international will turn professional on his 18th birthday.  Hector-Ingram told the official website : “It feels amazing, it really does! It’s been a dream from a young age to get a contract at this club and I’m very proud that I’ve managed to accomplish one of my dreams.“The next dream is me playing in the first team. However, I’m not getting too excited; I know I have to work even harder! This is only the start.”

Earlier this week, West Ham announced that highly rated defender Olatunji Akinola signed his first professional contract with the club. The 17-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most promising players coming through the ranks at the prestigious Academy.

mosesTwo days earlier Academy midfielder Moses Makasi also signed a new contract with the club.
The 20-year-old midfielder played a crucial part in the Development Squad’s triumphant U21 Premier League Cup success, and his efforts have been rewarded with a new one-year deal. Meanwhile West Ham also announced that winger Grady Diangana has signed his first professional terms with the club. Following impressive displays for the U18s and Development Squad this season, the 18-year-old south Londoner has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.
A number of Academy players will join Elliot Lee in leaving the club this summer. Leo Chambers, Jaanai Gordon, Nathan Mavila, Amos Nasha, Ross Elsom, Tim Brown, Clarke Bogard and Matt Carter will all leave after not being offered new contracts by the club with the exception of Carter who declined a professional deal and has trained with Bournemouth.
