Right back duo linked with Hammers

|

DebuchyAccording to reports in the French media, West Ham are interested in both Gregory van der Wiel and Mathieu Debuchy as they search to find an experienced right-back this summer.

Arsenal’ Debuchy spent the second half of last season on loan at Bordeaux after losing his place to Hector Bellerin at the Emirates and it is claimed Arsene Wenger has no plans to keep him on next season. Debuchy still has three years to run on his contract with the Gunners but Arsenal are willing to put the former Newcastle man up for sale on the cheap. According to France Football, Lyon are leading the chase for Debuchy and are preparing a bid of around £5m for the 30-year-old.

And PSG announced on Tuesday that the 28-year-old will depart the club after their clash with Marseille at the Stade de France.

“After four seasons with the club, Netherlands international defender Gregory van der Wiel will leave Paris Saint-Germain,” the club said on their official website as part of a lengthy tribute to his performances for the club.

Van der Wiel, who joined from Ajax in 2012, has won four Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de la Ligue trophies and the Coupe de France during his time in France.

He has been linked with a move to Serie A champions Juventus, as well as AC Milan and Inter.

Once again we are being linked with an Arsenal reject. Hope we don’t buy him as there are far better options out there plus he is 30 years of age with no sell on value. Not a good deal from a footballing or financial viewpoint!

Gregory Van Da Wiel on the other hand would be a great option, espicially on a free.

Van Der Weil is a pretty good player,i like him.Not too fussed about Debauchery though.Just more transfer bullshi*t doing the rounds no doubt 😉

Like you guys have said Debuchy looks past it, Van Der Wiel would be good although if those famous Italian clubs are after him think it may be a long shot.

lol Trust me 32, If I were Van Der Wiel I would be between West Ham and Juve… AC Milan and Inter were great club… In particular I refer to AC Milan (I live in Milan and AC Milan is my favourite club)… It’s comparable to Bornemouth right now… No, you know, better yet, Sunderland… I’m hopeless… lol 😀

    • mattefumi27 says:

ops sorry, AC is my favourite Italian club, but my heart is with West Ham, I can’t help it.. 😉

      • Radai Lama says:

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

I hope we can get him Matte, is worth paying big wages if we can get him for free

      • mattefumi27 says:

Yes 32, he seems to be a good player and it would be a fantastic deal if we can get him for free IMHO… but I bet we’ll read tomorrow “Lionel Messi linked with Hammers” lol 😀
