Some disabled West Ham season ticket holders were shocked to find out last week that their season tickets were rising by 41 per cent for next season.
One Hammers wheelchair user called Paul Reynolds spoke to Claret and Hugh this afternoon {Wed}to explain the worry and hassle caused to himself and fellow season ticket holders.
Paul has been a West Ham season ticket holder for over twenty five years and was relocated to the West stand close to the Bobby Moore lower end when we moved to the London Stadium.
He explained he paid £325 for his season ticket last season but was being asked for £460 for next season, a steep rise of £135!
He wrote to the accessibility manager at the club and after a number phone and emails was told there had been a mistake and his season ticket should be £340.
That was only rectified today after five days of telephone calls and emails to the club which left him frustrated.
The problem appears to have been his West stand relocated seat had been tagged as a band 2 seat instead of band 3 ticket when moved.
Paul was not alone and said five of his mates in the West stand accessibility section had the same problem with one of them paying the increased price only to be offered a refund.
If you have experienced a similar problem let us know.
CandH also spoke to Co Chair of the West Ham United Disabled Supporters Board Cathy Bayford who has offered support to those with queries on their accessibility season tickets
Cathy can be contacted at dsb@westhamunited.co.uk or Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/whudsb/
Is there no end to the ineptitude of the club when it comes to ticketing and communications?
