Hammers warning as Moyes window work starts

|

With the Euros over, West Ham are set to be linked with even more players than the 100 or so since May.

The Hammers seem to be one of the Premier League’s favourite clubs for agents and websites to use as possible contenders for and player from Turkey to Timbuktoo.

And with David Moyes now free of his duties at the Euros the pressure on him is bound to increase as the club look to move in the summer market.

Thus far – whilst a host of unrealistic names names have escaped into the media – there have been next to no leaks from the club as to the genuine targets.

And one key insider told us this evening: “A lot of agents mention West Ham United interest to try and drum up interest in their players which is repeated by websites and there are some who sadly simply accept what they are being old.”

Moyes has made it clear he won’t tolerate a leaky club  and the only genuine target which is on the record remains Jesse Lingard.

There will be some entertaining stories around but don’t go making judgements on particular so called targets until; there’s some real flesh on the bone.

With the greatest of respect, all claret and hugh do throughout the window is link us to hundreds of players.
I enjoy reading the site, but to say that Lingard is the only real target when for months you have said differently is rather strange. What happened to Sima being our top target, and then Tammy? Did you just make up those stories?
A loyal reader now looking elsewhere for reliable transfer news. As clearly this site has turned into a Pellegrini witch-hunt rather than anything to do with reliable transfer news.

    • You have it completely wrong mate. We report all the stuff that’s out there and have a rumour rater which assesses their value. You may not have noticed but the majority carry the word REPORT in the headlines . Our stories are quite easy to identify if you wish to and also to be fair. Do as you please, I assume you have arrived from Twitter

A valid point Hugh, one that some of us including myself tend to forget, for which I apologise. Whilst on the subject of showing some vigilance and respect for your reporting, may I suggest you show mutual respect for us readers and pay some attention to your gramme and spelling.
