Hammers won’t bid for Arsenal midfielder

|

Smith Rowe

Speculation that West Ham could move for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe in January looks highly unlikely.

The one possibility would be were Lucas Paqueta to find his FA irregular betting probe completed in his favour and a move to Manchester City is on the cards.

Smith Rowe was a target  for David Moyes when negotiations were in process for Declan Rice but Gooners boss Mikel Arteta ruled out any possibility of it happening declaring the player one of his untouchables.

It is now being reported there will be significant interest from Premier League clubs including ourselves should the player leave the Emirates.

The player has not been involved for Arsenal this season but given he remains in contract until 2026 and with such a strong midfield the hammers are set to be looking at other positions – such as striker and left back.

So, there is more than enough time for him to make a first team impression with the Gooners boss  having made it clear how highly he rates the 23 year old.
