How long since we had a keeper as good as Fab? fans respond

|

Despite a thumping 3-1 win at Everton £7 million signing Lukasz Fabianski was called on to perform spome heroics at Goodison.

He has had a busy season and generally looked the busiess to the point when fans have been wondering when did we last have a stopper as good as him

Today, CkaretandHugh asked that question on its Facebook formum – here are a selection of answers from the site’s followers.

O Fab is pukka. He’s done nothing wrong in my opinion. Had a unsettled back 4 throughout friendlies and the first few games of this season. For me possibly the best player we signed ? We haven’t had a good, steady & reliable keeper for long time.
Fabianski great signing
O So assured, took everything and breeds confidence for the improving defenders.
O It’s been a while . He just looks so composed all of the time
O  If you look how much we have spent on goalkeeper over the last 10 years it no wonder we’ve been bang average… believe it or not Rob Green at 3 million is the most expensive!
O David James Steve Bywater and Robert Ggreen are the only keepers we have spent money on recently .
O Parkes and Ludo
LUDO!
O Ludo
