How we rated the Irons at Stamford Bridge

|

Hughie hands out his marks

Fabianski: Two or three top saves, saved the softest of pens and did nothing wrong all afternoon 7

Coufal: Was a bit too hasty when trying to cross but did well defensively 6

Johnson: Did really well with some tremendous blocks – very good game 8

Dawson: How do you mark a guy whop had a great game until the last five minutes when he gave away a pen and was red carded GIVE HIM YOUR OWN MARK.

Cresswell: Less than average afternoon front and back 5

Masuaku: Rarely saw the ball but a couple of penetrating run and defended a couple of dangerous situations 6

Noble: Sime neat passing and did little wrong in general  7

Soucek: Some good defending and got forward to make things happen now and again 7

Fornals Always busy and available for out balls – decent 7

Benrahma: Taken off eventually thank heavens . Near solo run on goal… failed, easy ball to man on goal… failed to make it… trapped defensively on occasions. Nothing positive in his game at all Poor 3

Yarmolenko: I’m not his biggest fan by a distance but fair play to him. Linked the play well and always looked threatening 7

Subs

Rice: Very subdued 5

Bowen and Lanzini:  virtually anonymous 4 apiece

Agree Hugh Benrahma was clueless and was even outpaced by Silva. Masuaku was caught in possession several times again, won no tackles and mostly out of position. I believe Cress plays worse with him around too. Honestly those two must go for next season IMO.

I know football is about opinions but this is ridiculous. How you can give Benrahma a 3 yet you give Mr Offside ALL THE TIME Yarmolenko a 7.
