How we rated the Irons v Liverpool

|

CandH ratings man Niall McDonald is back on the case tonight

Fabianski: Imperious dealing with a succession of crosses 8
Fredericks: Credit where credit’s due, I thought he defended really well against Sane 8
Diop: Marshalled Fredericks closely early on; got his foot in on several occasions 8
Ogbonna: Very assured tonight 8
Cresswell: Got forward very well after the break; just couldn’t quite get a decisive crossing chance 7
Rice: Outstanding again. Broke up play, stayed on his feet, drove forward and produced some enormous no-nonsense clearances at the death 9
Noble: A wonderfully subtle nudge on Keita created the room for Antonio’s crucial equaliser. Signed off with a glorious cross field ball setting Anderson off 8
Snodgrass: If Liverpool are the benchmark for pressing and closing down, then Snodgrass put in a tremendous shift tonight 8
Anderson: MOTM in the stadium and showed all his skill, touch and pace 9
Antonio: Took his goal really well; one of his most consistent performances I’ve seen for a long time 8
Hernandez: Surprisingly combative in the first-half 7

Subs
Obiang: On for Noble, didnt quite get up to the pace of the game 4
Carroll: A pretty typical late cameo. One timely defensive header and gave Liverpool defence a minor scare in stoppage time 4
Masuaku: On very late to close out the gameĀ  No rating
