HT: Spurs 0 Hammers 0

|

West Ham were grateful to Luzkasz Fabianski for two or three fine saves as they held on well in the goal-less first half.

And it was good to see Issa Diop back in the team and in outstanding form as the lads performed with credit in the first half.

After Declan Rice fired over the top after good work from Felipe Anderson early on Spurs started to dominate but carved out few outstanding chances and when they did Fabianski was agin in fine form.

The Irons had their moments notably when Anderson broke clear but fired straight at Lloris with Arnautovic free on the penalty spot.

However, Anderson nearly caught the Spurs stopper out with a deflected shop later on and Antonio went close with a header from a corner.

An honourable mentions for Robert Snodgrass who worked his heart out in the middle and at the back but, as mentioned by Sky pundits, we need more in midfield where we were being outnumbered.

We looked good on the break and it will be interesting how Pellegrini rings the changes – if at all – after the break.
