Hugill’s Norwich switch hits snag

|

Jordan Hugill’s move to Norwich City could be hit by a wages hitch.

The Hammers striker is wanted by the Canaries as they look at a season in the Championship but are unlikely to be able to match his Irons wages.

The £8 million signing is believed to be on around £35k  a week with us but there’s little or no chance of  City being able to match that or get  close to it.

There is definite interest from the East Anglian outfit but they are believed to be well short on his current personal terms at the moment.

After two seasons on loan in the Championship Hugill’s record of 15 goals for QPR in 41 appearances last term represented his best season for two or three years.

He spent the previous campaign  at Middlesborough where managed just seven goals in the same number of appearances.

There’s definite interest from the Canaries but personal terms are the current stumbling block with the Hammers likely to take £5 million for the 28 year old.
