Speaking exclusively with Claret & Hugh, a top West Ham source has denied that the Hammers have any interest in either Raheem Sterling or Tammy Abraham.

When C&H asked the top club insider this morning whether there was any truth to reports that the Hammers are in ‘advanced talks’ with Roma for the former Chelsea striker, the response was clear: NO. The club remains adamant that not only is there no interest in either Sterling or Abraham, but there is also no money in the transfer coffers to buy these players even if they were wanted.

Claret & Hugh have been reminded that West Ham has been extremely busy in the transfer window and now needs to recoup some money to balance the books. And as was made clear to us, “We’ve got loads of wingers anyway”.

Whilst the Hammers have not completely ruled out further transfer business, it is highly unlikely that there will be any big-money moves without the departure of a ‘Big Name’ player.

However, it should be noted that the top Hammers insider indicated that only fringe players are for sale and the club is not encouraging any interest in our top established stars.
