Irons big prospect wants more and more

|

OxfordReece Oxford rose to the challenge of a midfield role in the team which drew 0-0 with Charlton yesterday (Sat) and then declared: “The team did well. ”

He explained it was a good experience for him playing in midfield adding: ““Josh [Cullen] and I were talking before the game. We said one and two touches and then pop it. Angelo [Ogbonna] was telling us the same, one and two touches, so we just did that. ”

Speaking to the official site the Irons big prospect said: “We changed into a diamond and I was behind, with Josh more in front, but either way, we played well together.”

Dimitri Payet, Enner Valencia and Martin Samuelsen were directly in front and Oxford explained it was a case of feeding the Hammers’ more attacking midfielders as quickly and as often as possible.

He said: ““Dimitri was getting on it a lot, we were creating chances but the finishing just wasn’t there on Saturday.
He [Payet] is good at getting on the half turn and getting it and turning it and creating chances.”

He said: “Angelo and Tonks were talking to me all game, just saying cover, cover them in front. They did a good job and we did a good job too. It was a good challenge for me.

He added: “It’s going well, I’m getting a lot of games in. Hopefully I could [get back in the squad], but hopefully the team can just progress in the Europa League and get to the group stages.”

Class, class and class, what a performance. And people don’t know what Johnham is talking about lol lol. He will be our first choice RB within 6-8 weeks of the season – watch this space. At a different level to Jenks but nobody listened to me. As you can see from yesterday he can also play CB and CM. Make sure he is not sent out on loan. If he is good enough he should play – ok not every week….

Haha, well everyone has obviously said he can play in the cb & midfield positions. You dont need to be a mastermind to work that out John.Aint seen him play rb though. That is only a masterplan you see at the moment wise man of C&H 😀

So you don’t believe in second chances. He pleaded guilty & done his time. No blaming everyone else, his fukc up. Should he just hide away for the rest of his life?? I in no way condone what he did & i will not worship him.

  • SlimJim says:

The Development team had a game against Bournemouth scheduled for today?
Did it happen or was it cancelled due to nearly all of them playing in friendlies with the 1st team squad?
