Irons “hello” to one player and goodbye to another

|

Havard-Nordtveit-629624West Ham will say hello to new boy Havard Nordtveit this summer and say farwell to Alex Song, in what has become a long goodbye.

Nordveit will become Slaven Bilic’s first signing of the summer when he joins the Hammers on a free transfer on 1 July.

But prior to his arrival the Hammers made it clear to ClaretandHugh this morning that Alex Song, as widely expected, will be on his way.

A top insider told us: “Alex Song will not be with us next season and we wish him well in the future.”

The Irons are reported to have seen off competition from several top European sides for Nordtveit and the Norway international will leave Borussia Monchengladbach when his contract expires.

Speaking to the official site co-chairman David Sullivan said: He’s a fantastic utility player who has been proved at the highest level.

“He is a great addition to our squad and I’m sure the supporters will realise he is a top player by this time next year.”

Look forward to seeing him play, according to reports we are also in the market for Andros Townsend who has that 8mil clause in his contract and also Wijnaldum, both would be excellent signings, we should also try and get Jaanmat if we are looking at the Geordies between them they have been Newcastles best players imo.
