Irons look at Song alternative

Pedro-Obiang-Sampdoria_2835036 (1)West Ham will move in on long term target Sampdoria’s Pedro Obiang this summer as an alternative to Alex Song.

The club’s owners are very unsure about shelling out mega wages for Song and Obiang is seen as a perfect replacement.

However, with two years left on his present deal he won’t come cheap himself and will also interest Roma who have been linked with him in the past.

The 23-year-old is a Spain Under-21 international and his agent Jose Gonzales admitted last summer the Irons were keen on the player saying: “Pedro is liked by them.”

He added: Clearly, should an offer arrive ready to satisfy both Pedro and Sampdoria, he could leave.”

However, the arrival of Song halted any further interest but the player remains very much on the Hammers list of

I remember we were on about this lad alot last summer & again in the january window.Im really unsure on Song,i know he is a quality player but he just isnt the same since he came back from his African trip,he must have a bad case of the Allardyce Lethargy Bug sweeping through the club.I think he was one of the first ones to go down with it.There is a cure for ALB though, the board just need to give the go ahead 😉

For me Song is nor worth the money and I believe he chose to play for us to put himself in the window for others like Liverpool and Arsenal to see,
He has not played with his heart since Xmas because he does not like the style BFS plays and he has no love for our club,I don’t know if this player is any better but there are a lot of similar players out there,we have had one training with us and wants to sign and will cost us just his wages, many clubs will be releasing good midfielders this summer also and hopefully our new manager will recruit who he wants with the 2 Daves help and budget,
BFS OUT STILL GIVING THE BOARD MY CONFIDENCE

I like Song bubs… I think, as you wrote, he doesn’t like the style BFS plays (WHO LOVES IT ???). I would give Song another chance but not with BFS (obviously).
Other players deteriorated and some of them have disappeared altogether: Valencia, Amalfitano, Nene, Ravel Morrison, Zarate, and Sakho is getting worse. All these players are quality players.
    IT’S NOT A COINCIDENCE.

BFS DESTROYS QUALITY PLAYERS AND ENTERTAINING FOOTBALL

  • bubs says:

I agree Matte but does Song want us ?
I am not convinced he wants the hard work at our level its much easier at bigger clubs where you have other top players to take the strain, and I think that’s what Barca have found,
If he wants to come than he is an better player than Nolan and Noble but Kouyate is as good and hungry,Alfitano I like,Nene not seen enough to judge but that’s not his fault,
Zarate will be back and if he nuckles down under a new manager should stay and be a good squad member but unless he ups his work rate will not be a regular starter,
Rav we will just have to watch grow to great fame in Italy and know BFS cost us,
You know what I think of our overrated overpaid overweight ( I like the words beginning with over ) leader,
    BFS REIGN OVER

  • mattefumi el loco says:

Yes Bubs, I don’t if wants us… I’m sorry he had to play during BFS’ reign… Song (and other players) is a lot better than that.
