News that Robert Snodgrass could be back before the end of the season is encouraging and should it happen could prove vital to the Irons cause.
His high energy approach is always a bonus and his ability to have turned so many minds to his virtues after some early negativity has been admirable.
He’s a great player to have on the bench in any circumstances and although he’s unlikely to be a regular starter again he is the one player I see who has the ability to become a game changer.
That’s a role that has fallen on Andriy Yarmolenko in recent games but I’d trust Snoddy more in that role for just one reason – his set piece ‘giftings’ – which have been sorely missed.
The whipped corners and free kicks trouble any defence – something we haven’t seen in these situations since the restart.
And let’s not forget the five goals he’s managed this season so far and four last year – not bad for any midfielder.
I for one would be delighted to see the guy back given he has scored five goals and supplied four assists from set pieces and another from open play.
Even were he – in the current circumstances – to arrive off the bench, I for one would be delighted to see him shaping up for corners or free kicks rather than anyone else we have available.
That could be good news .Very little on the bench that can change things up if we are behind and a much better bet than people like Noble and Lanzini .
Sorry and who would he be in the team ahead of ?, Soucek, Rice, Fornals, Bowen, Haller, Lanzini !!!!! A very average okayer who I believe should be sold at the end of the season. No idea what u or anyone sees in him except he has a good left foot from dead balls.
I think it said off the bench didn’t it? And I think it explainshis goals and assists doesn’t it?
