Iron’s pay claim report is utter rubbish

|

Claims that Tomas Soucek wants a new deal worth in excess of £120k a week are total and complete nonsense!

According to so called transfer insider Dean Jones those are the sort of figures the Czech Republic international wants putting on the table.

Nothing of these claims was heard of course until various sites learned via amd exclusive  Claretandhugh report that talks were even being held.

Sadly, in a bid to catch up on the news that became the signal for some nonsensical spin to commence with claims of him wanting astronomical figures. it’s an old routine and entirely unfair to the player.

Having come from a much smaller league Tomas received the average salary at West Ham which is around the £60k to 70k a week and promised an improved deal should he prove himself.

He certainly did that last season of course but his performances have dipped this term and as a result we understand that his new offer – over five years – may even be as low as £5k-£10k a week.

His bargaining position is not strong but such a wage increase would see most disappearing and he would be hoping for up to £30k a week more before committing to any new deal.

A source close to the talks last week told CandH: “There is mo agreement at this stage but we shall be continuing to talk before and at the end of the season.”

However, in the meantime forget the £125k a week claim – that’s rubbish.
