Irons question alleged Kouyate ‘statement’

|

West Ham United are tonight unsure whether an alleged public farewell message from potential £7.5 million signing Cheikhou Kouyaté  is genuine!

The defender appeared to post an emotional farewell on a page which possessed a mere 500 plus ‘likes’  – hardly the norm for a top European player.

As reported on ClaretandHugh, the player’s advisers have been in talks with the club all day and a deal is close after interest from Valencia and others had looked to derail it.

A Hammers source commented: “We don’t know if that supposed FB thing is for real. It looks dubious as there are very few likes for a top footballer after all.

“Anyway the deal is not done and if and when it is the the first place it would be announced is on the selling club’s website.”
