stijn-vandenbrouckeHead of Medical and Sport Science, Stijn Vandenbroucke has updated WHUFC.com with Hammers injury news.

Angelo Ogbonna, who suffered a hamstring injury in the victory over Newcastle United on Monday evening underwent a scan on his injured left leg on Wednesday.

The results show the injury is not too bad and they hope he will be back in action within three weeks.

Mauro Zarate is now back in training with the first-team squad joining in a full session with the group on Wednesday ahead of this weekend’s trip to Manchester City.

Alex Song continues to work hard on his rehab and improving his mobility and strength. He is also working on his other ankle, his knees, hips, his core and his fitness.

Enner Valencia is doing well and should his rehab should  see him back in action by the start of November.

Thats some decent names to still come back into the squad.Song,Valencia,Zarate,Ogbonna.All quality players.Only a few years ago we were waiting for players like Papa Bouba Diop,Abdoulaye Faye,Matt Taylor & Nicky Maynard to return.Big change in a relatively short space of time.Good time are ahead,i can feel it in my water 😀

Should be interesting when Valencia comes back in the fold weather he can push Moses or Valentino down the order,
But yes there would be a lot of clubs like to be in our position,
Feeling a bit sad for Zarate he was doing alright and now he will really struggle to even get on the bench unless we have 2/3 injuries,
Could be our first player asking to leave if last year was a bench mark.
