It’s all been so West Ham and it’s why we love this amazing club with everything in our beings – IRONS!

|

celebrationUs Hammers moan a lot – we’re really good at it but then to be fair we have had a lot of practice down the years when the sun comes out briefly before fortune starts hiding all over again.

Paul Ince, Jermain Defoe, yo yoying between divisions on far too many occasions, Dean Ashton’s agony, Scott Parker’s departure. Oh there are far too many downers to recall.

But it may be fair to say that, Dimi Payet’s appalling act of treachery last week topped all – dunno, but it was certainly one of the most hideous acts ever to hit the club.

So there we stood in despair, misery and anger before the team went out and produced the best win of the season with one superlative goal included for good measure.

This was so entirely West Ham…it’s what we do…it’s the reason that despite never winning much and forever passing through drama after drama we love this club with all we have.

It’s an east end thing and goes back to the blitz spirit.

Ok, you may think I’m being melodramaticΒ and Β that’s alright too because after over 50 years of supporting this entirely incredible, fantastic, amazing, club I can genuinely say: “Unless you are one of us you will never understand.”

The last few days have been so West Ham!

West Ham has always been about being UNITED for me, 50 years nearly for me ups & downs, but being UNITED, backing the players! and that is what we did in that second half, we got behind the Boy’s and not one player can you knock, well some may? LOL!

So pleased for Slav, I will always support him and respect him, but he needs to look at the positions players look good and perform well in.

Agree over 50 years for me and I feel like a 17 yo this morning still buzzing from the game yesterday. Nothing wrong with the atmosphere in the stadium in the 2nd half was there. COYI

Superb atmosphere yesterday wasnt it fellas. On a par with Chelsea? Maybe
Payet did us a real favour with his outburst it really brought the fans & manager/club together.Letting him know thqt we don’t get f***** about with.It must be disappointing for the fans from thousands of miles away thought who sit on their throne made of bullsh1t b1tching about the club everyday!!!!

Let it go LF.Honestly mate if we said we loved Noble then they would dislike him.If we had said we loved Hippo Head they would have slated him.If we now took to hating the board they would suddenly, mysteriously take to loving them
Its the reminants of The Banjo Prat Pack still going strong lolπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

only 48 myself, but totally agree with everything said here. The blitz it is. Out of adversity we arise, and we sure have made it a habit, and even an art-form.
We are different from all the others, and we shall become a top winning club on our terms in our brilliant stadium, with our loyal players.

I will tell you one thing lads, any fans who keep banging on about the stadium being half empty next season because half the fans aint renewing are talking sh*t.We will always have great fans who will go to watch the lads.Look around you yesterday,i didnt see too many faces of fans who aint coming back next season πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I agree with all above, my first match 1958, that’s 58 years and I’m still blowing bubbles!
I do just wonder if after this weeks events and yesterday’s match, do yer think perhaps now SA understands?

    • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Depends whether the game was shown live in South Africa i guess lol πŸ˜‚

My first match 1963 beat Notts Forest. Experienced all the ups and downs since then, but rarely have I felt so proud as the response of our team as yesterday.

  • GW says:

30+ years up and down the country ,loads of banter, loads of laughs, few tears now and again and knowing we ain’t never been the greatest but always hoping one day we might be that’s the life of an Iron ain’t it? As for yesterday cracking 2nd half, cracking goals and the slug crawling back to South London still waiting for a win and his cronies vanishing without trace! I’d say that was a pretty good day πŸ™‚

  • Michael Miller says:

Who you calling a moaner – ok fair enough, hands up you got me!

The thing that struck me yesterday speaking to various fans beforehand was that virtually everyone agreed that we should write-off Payet, take the money and move on. There’s been a feeling all Season that all has been not right among the Team, and now with these disruptions and resentment that must have been caused by Payet’s attitude etc we might have some sort of explanation of the poor form.

I’ve been watching Goals on Sunday and the guys on there have been talking of letting Payet rot in the youth team or trying to placate him and get him back onside. Not for me – I can’t see any way back, he’s let us down badly, his attitude undermined the Club and he was allowed to do it for too long. Andy Carrol ‘digging him out’ demonstates the other players attitude to Payet.

The Team is the thing, nothing is bigger or more important than the Team – forget Payet, move on!

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

I dont think we have any intention of keeping him.The Slaven/Sullivan/Gold media message is just making it loud & clear they aint going to dance to the Fat Frogs tune & if they are so inclined they wil let him rot.He will go, they are just telling him he will go on their terms & not just because he goes & sulks in the corner of the room with his favourite teddy..Right bid comes he will be outta here 😁
In my illiterate know nothing opinion of course πŸ˜‚
