Jack sends message to haters

|

West Ham player Jack Wilshere has hit out at the haters after his latest injury setback.

The Hammer underwent a hernia operation last week and is expected to be out for the remainder of the season.

He posted on social media “Laugh at me but remember I am a human being who only wants to get my boots on and play football, the one thing I love and my body at the moment is not allowing me to. This is hurting me bad but I will be back.”

His current groin injury has kept him out since 23rd Oct a total of 97 days and 16 West Ham games.

Before that, he was out for 127 days between December 2018 and April 2019 missing 2o West Ham games after undergoing ankle surgery.

Wilshere signed for the Hammers in July 2018 on a three-year contract said to be worth Ā£100,000 per week, he first became injured in September 2018 missing 77 days and 11 West Hames games with an ankle injury only returning in November 2018 for a short spell before getting injured again.

This might provoke more sneering but I feel sorry for the guy. It’s a reminder that money is not everything. Yes it softens the blow of having a massive talent your body does not allow you to use, but it must still be a burden. I remember a young relative (about 18/19 at the time) being totally mystified when Gary Speed committed suicide. He just kept saying ‘With all that money why would you do that? ‘ I haven’t checked but I hope he has worked out the answer for himself.

Probably the worst bit of business in football history ! Pellegrini squandered millions on flops – but this has to take the biscuit – again, Sully and Gold have to take the blame for endorsing such a ludicrous contract to a player who has had injury problems for years. We truly are a Circus ( soon to be a Championship one). RIP West Ham United šŸ‘ŽšŸ™

Wow Jack Sprat …. wow. From someone who earns mega bucks, and spends more time on the injury table than on the pitch. We are so impressed. Or are you you speaking to Christmas Carroll ???

  • Peter bendall says:

Not his fault …another awful transfer decision by the clowns running the club . You would have thought they would learn a lesson from Carroll situation which in itself followed on from 3 or 4 previous nightmares … Robson , Dyer , etc .. As a result we are a midfield player short and have to roll out substandard players week after week . .

  • Tony Pezzolesi says:

I feel for him too. I have to question our medical staff. Why has it taken since October to come to the conclusion that he needs to have an operation?

  • Dave G says:

If he feels that sorry why not show it and offer to take a 50% pay cut ?

  • Saul says:

Serious question… How do you get a hernia from doing nothing? I mean, really, this guy isn’t a footballer anymore, how do you get a hernia? Lifting shopping from the boot? Doing the laundry? Getting into the laundry machine?! I’m mystified, how a supposed athlete gets a hernia from not doing athlete-like stuff?!! He’s a legend for that if nothing else!

  • Peter bendall says:

We had same excuse from Noble for his lack of form last season !!

  • Hammer64 says:

You can get a hernia from sneezing Saul as it happens. Yes, and from getting the shopping out the car.

Probably pulled his hernia jumping in and out of that tumble dryer pranking Declan rice. This bloke is a crook, been impersonating a footballer for years now!

  • Richard says:

Haters? Paranoia if that really is the case?
People air disappointment as most already aware of the injury before Jack was signed by the club.
With previous Carole, Dyer etc, He should understand that many thought it would be money spent better elsewhere as we were all made aware of the chairmen only wanted 1 year deal.
Want to see players playing, not jumping in washing machines and sending pictures of there public hair. Get well soon Jack x

  • Osbert says:

Why the club does not make him a lump cash offer and terminate his contract as he will never play a season for us it is crazy too keep him the other option is to tear his contract up and then put him on a pay as you play deal
I know Iā€™m talking rubbish as he most probably has a contract that is bomb proof water proof etc.

“Jack Wilshire, he plays when he wants, he plays when he waaaaaaaants….
Jack Wilshire, he plays when he wants.”

  • Hammer_Rite says:

    Sympathy….no.
The guy has always come over to me as being cocky and thinks he is a better footballer than he is.
Absolutely ridiculous that he was put on a three year contract.
