Jarrod Bowen injury update

|

Jarrod Bowen is fifty-fifty to play a part in the Irons last game of the season against Villa on Sunday.

Jarrod hobbled off towards the end of the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last night and was in Rush Green this afternoon for treatment.

And a well placed Hammers source told ClaretandHugh by ‘phone that he remained doubtful for the match which could decide the Midlanders’ Premier League fate.

He explained that probably the outstanding player on the night had taken a kick on the leg earlier in the first half before receiving another on exactly the same spot just before the end.

He was replaced by Andriy Yarmolenko and although there was no serious injury, the manager decided on a  precautionary measure ahead of the last 90 minutes of the longest season ever.

Our source explained: “He was in for treatment this afternoon and his chances look around 50/50, We’d love to see him finish the campaign because he has been superb since arriving from Hull.

Yarmolenko, Anderson, Antonio and Fornals can all cover that position if required, imho play it safe and don’t risk him.

Agree tho hoping wherever Antonio plays he gets 2 goals. Hits 10 in months & ties Arnie Record. Plus Ole is right should be player of month be madness if doesn’t be thrilled for him if he does.

Hope he plays he has been a brilliant signing for us ⚒

Still raging with the referee. He offered Jarrod no protection at all. Matic and Williams spent the whole game chipping away at his ankles and achilles. In the end it was inevitable he would pick up an injury.
